Seeing is believing.

Darius Riley is a photographer and filmmaker from East Palo Alto, CA. He obtained a B.A. in Visual Arts from Bowdoin College in 2020.

Darius approaches storytelling with a deep sense of responsibility to community. His work is rooted in lived experience, trust-building, and long-term relationships, allowing him to document people and places with honesty and nuance. He is especially drawn to stories of everyday life — moments that may seem ordinary but carry lasting cultural weight.

In addition to his creative practice, Darius is a residential faculty member at Eastside College Preparatory School, where he mentors students and integrates storytelling, visual literacy, and creative entrepreneurship into youth development.

His work has been commissioned by organizations such as UC Berkeley School of Law, The Presidio Trust, and has been featured in outlets including KQED. Across all mediums, Darius is committed to creating work that reflects care, integrity, and a belief that representation matters — not just in front of the camera, but behind it.

Darius hopes to inspire individuals, especially youth, to pick up a camera and capture the world they want to see.
